Also impelled by its Origin Project –which main goal is the tireless search for unique and unrepeatable quarters along the country, gifted with fruit capable to deliver superior wines–, San Pedro created Tierras Moradas (Purple Soils); this winery’s second Ultra Premium wine launched coincidentally with Chile’s Bicentenary Anniversary. This wine is made from a selection of grapes, stemming from a special block of Carmenére which is planted on slopes within its vineyard located in the Maule Valley, on a colluvial soil gifted whit an amazing dark purple color. Precisely that special color is the fact that gave birth to this wine’s name.
