This wine forms part of an exclusive group of the five ultra-premium wines of Viña San Pedro It is a voluptuous, modern and authentic Carménère from the Maule Valley, whose name was inspired by the purple colored soils found at its origin. Hillside clay and angular stone based soils combine with very warm days and cooler nights to provide the optimal ripening conditions for this distinctive varietal. Tierras Moradas is the result of this terroir joined with the precise, meticulous, controlled and dedicated work of winemaker Gonzalo Castro.

- VISUAL: Deep and intense, almost purple.
- AROMA: The nose is elegant with notes of blackberry, black and pink pepper, cinnamon, clove and spices.
- PALATE: On the palate it has pleasant acidity, with great persistence and a wonderful finish.

Gonzalo is an agronomist and enologist, graduate of Universidad Católica de Chile. He began his career with an internship at Viña Portal Del Alto, and then worked as an assistant enologist at Viña Siegel. Then he worked for five years as chief enologist at Viña Aquitania.
He has worked several vineyards outside our country, at wineries in France, such as the well-known Chateau Margaux in Bordeaux and Champagne Bollinger, besides working at Rosenblum Cellars in California (USA). These experiences gave him valuable knowledge which is now being utilized to take the next step forward to improve our Premium and Iconic wine collection.
