Chief Winemaker of Varietals and Organic Wines
Miguel is the winemaker who leads the team in charge of San Pedro’s successful varietal lines of wines: 35°South and GatoNegro. He is also currently responsible for the organic projects this winery is undertaking.
Miguel worked and gained important experience in a number of notable wineries, such as Viña Santa Rita, Viña Montes, and Viña Caliterra in Chile, and also at the American winery Robert Mondavi.
Before joining San Pedro, he worked as Chief Winemaker of Viña Santa Helena, a subsidiary of San Pedro, since the year 2001, where he led the development of the Super Premium project, including the creation of the wines Vernus, Notas de Guarda and D.O.N., with the consultancy of Bordeaux winemaker, Pascal Chatonnet.
