Our Wines Grandes Vinos de San Pedro

Los Despedidos

"Los Despedidos” is born from VSPT Wine Group’s innovation Team who decided to explore new lands and strains that were not within the range of the group. This shows the bolder side of the vineyard, promoting the license to seduce with a proposal away from its recognized traditionalism.

“Without asking anyone's permission” they included in our portfolio a unique place that’s not involved with the corporate guidelines of Viña San Pedro: Itata Valley, which terroir is located approximately 25 km from the sea and west of the Coast Mountains, with highly quartz stratified and red clay soil. "Los Despedidos" - whose name comes because after the irreverence, a layoff can come - a playful line of wines that unites exploration and high quality is under the winemaking hand of four creative and renowned winemakers, Viviana Navarrete, Viña Leyda, Maite Hojas, Viña Santa Helena, Gonzalo Castro, Grandes Vinos de San Pedro and Marcelo García, 1865 and Castillo de Molina. We hope it reaches fame and recognition by both experts and consumers.

Tasting Notes

  • Cinsault

  • AROMA: It is a wine with a very high aromatic intensity that in nose reminds the cherries and sour cherries with some floral notes like violets.
  • PALATE: On the palate is very fresh, with a very good balance between acidity, tannins and sweetness, it combines very well with light cheese, fish and cold dishes.
  • País

  • AROMA: It is an extraordinarily balanced wine, as only mature grapes reach it, generous in aromas as murtilla, earth and blackberry.
  • PALATE: The palate has a good attack; with high tannins harmony and acidity that gives a long, juicy finish that suggest “prietas” and cured meat (sausages).
