October, 2011.- Last September 6th, the Awards Ceremony Gala of the latest version of the Decanter World Wine Awards took place, which is organized every year by prestigious homonymous British magazine, and, of course, Viña San Pedro was present in order to receive a great award.
The event took place at London’s Royal Opera House, and, in representation of San Pedro, it was attended by Miguel Rencoret, Chief Winemaker of the Organic and Varietal Lines, and Felipe Bravo, Submanager of Exports to Western Europe.
Rencoret received the award granted to our 2008 1865 Limited Edition Blend , from Cachapoal Valley, which obtained the Regional Trophy to the Best Chilean Red Blend over 10Pounds, filling us all with pride.
In previous editions of this prestigious competition, our Castillo de Molina Sauvignon Blanc from Elqui Valley was also awarded, for two consecutive years, the Regional Trophy to the best Chilean Sauvignon Blanc under 10Pounds.
The Decanter World Wine Awards have taken place since year 2004 and are considered the most prestigious and trustworthy international wine competition in the world, setting the guidelines of the best wines for oenophiles around the world year by year, since its results are published in special editions of Decanter magazine, which also carries out multiple related promotional activities throughout the year.
